AI-Driven Election-Manipulation Platform targeted Malaysia - Anthropic
Anthropic recently discovered an attempt to manipulate Malaysian elections using a system built with Claude . It not only operated roughly 1,000 fake social media accounts on X, ran a fake news site called "Malaysia Pulse" registered on 10 May 2026, it also created fabricated dossiers targeting opposition figures. They say it was stopped before it could grow any bigger though.
