The facility will come up near T-Hub in Raidurg and will span about 40,000 sq ft. Along with the Experience Centre, the company plans to set up a service centre and a call centre. A backend support team is also expected to operate from the facility. Apple has reportedly leased nearly 3 lakh sq ft of office space for these operations. Facility likely to function as a Global Capability Centre The new centre is expected to be developed as a Global Capability Centre (GCC). It can accommodate around 1,400 employees. Technology professionals working in data protection, medical technology, communications, artificial intelligence, navigation systems, traffic surveillance and voice recognition are expected to be based at the facility. Digital operations may also be managed from Hyderabad. Apple already operates a GCC at WaveRock in Gachibowli. The company has reportedly hired about 3,500 employees for its two GCCs in Hyderabad. Stores offer product trials and technical support Apple currently operates two official stores in Mumbai and one each in Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru and Noida. Unlike conventional mobile phone outlets, Apple stores offer a global retail experience. Each store is designed to reflect the identity of its host city. Customers can explore and test the latest Apple products, including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple Watches and AirPods. Apple stores do not use traditional billing counters or queues. Staff members carry handheld devices and complete billing directly with customers on the shop floor. Apple experts also provide free sessions on photography, videography, music creation, coding and art. A Genius Bar technical support desk helps customers resolve software and hardware issues. Experts also assist with device setup, Apple ID recovery and data backup services. Store employees come from different states and can assist customers in more than 15 languages, including Telugu, Hindi and English. Customers can order devices online with preferred RAM and storage configurations and collect them from the Experience Centre. Apple also offers exchange programmes that allow customers to trade in old iPhones and smartphones from other brands to receive discounts on new Apple products. ]]>
