Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026 from Nov 17; Set to host 60,000+ visitors, AI & DeepTech to take centre stage

Karnataka has announced the 29th edition of Bengaluru Tech Summit with the theme "AI & Beyond", alongside a new DeepTech roadmap, startup funding, semiconductor initiatives and global technology partnerships. Karnataka has officially announced the 29th edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2026, which will be held from November 17 to 19 under the theme "AI & Beyond." The summit is expected to bring together global technology leaders, startups, investors, policymakers and innovators, further strengthening Bengaluru's position as India's leading technology and innovation hub. The announcement was made by Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar during the state's annual CEO Breakfast Meet, which was attended by more than 200 technology industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors and policymakers. This year's summit is expected to be one of the biggest editions so far. Organisers expect participation from more than 1,800 exhibitors, 25,000 delegates, 1,000 startups and over 60,000 business visitors. Representatives from more than 75 countries and 30 States and Union Territories are also expected to attend the three-day event. Major focus areas include Artificial Intelligence (AI), DeepTech, electronics and semiconductors, biotechnology, fintech, spacetech, AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics), digital infrastructure and electric mobility. One of the biggest highlights of BTS 2026 will be the first-ever edition of Embedded World India, organised in partnership with NuernbergMesse India. The dedicated conference and exhibition will focus on electronics and semiconductor technologies, with the government aiming to strengthen partnerships between global technology companies and India's rapidly growing semiconductor ecosystem. During the CEO Breakfast Meet, the Karnataka government also released the Karnataka IT & DeepTech Landscape Progress Report 2025-26. The report was presented by Dr. Manjula N., IAS, Secretary, Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, and outlines the state's achievements, major policy initiatives and future roadmap for the technology sector. In another major announcement, the government launched the Innoverse Foundation, a new initiative designed to mentor revenue-generating DeepTech startups and help them expand into global markets. Applications have also been invited for the foundation's DeepTech Enabler Program, which aims to support emerging technology companies. The selected startups were chosen from 983 applications received from across the country. Each selected startup will receive grants ranging from ₹85 lakh to ₹1 crore to support research and product development. Among the winners, 24 startups are based in Bengaluru, four are from other parts of Karnataka, while five are from Delhi , Maharashtra and Telangana. Notably, 12 of the selected startups are women-led, reflecting the growing participation of women entrepreneurs in the technology sector. The three-day summit will also include specialised conference tracks on AI and DeepTech, fintech, health and biotechnology, spacetech, global technology collaboration and the India-US Tech Conclave. Another key attraction will be the Future Makers programme, which will connect promising startups with investors, mentors and international business opportunities. With a strong focus on innovation, global partnerships, startup growth and next-generation technologies, the Karnataka government believes Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026 will further strengthen the state's leadership in India's technology ecosystem while creating new opportunities for businesses, entrepreneurs and innovators from across the world.
