As Ganeshotsav concludes in Mumbai, the BMC is yet to finalise a scientific method for disposing of idol remains as mandated by the Bombay High Court. Over 1,835 metric tonnes of remains have been collected so far and stored at Mulund dumping ground until a recycling or disposal solution is finalised.
