China Unicom and Huawei Release World’s Largest 5G-A 100 MHz GigaUplink Network

Recently, China Unicom Beijing and Huawei launched the world’s largest 5G-A GigaUplink commercial network. This innovative network achieves continuous coverage of the 100 MHz network in key areas across Beijing, with over 10,000 base stations deployed. During a live drive test, seven invited third-party media representatives served as “Experience Officers” to witness the network’s “excellent coverage and stable service experience.” The results demonstrated a 100 MHz uplink effective ratio of 83% and a mere 0.1% proportion of cell-edge weak points ( 300 Mbps). The proportion of cell-edge weak points (< 20 Mbps) was only 0.1%. This exceptional uplink network performance fully supported seamless experiences in vehicle-mounted mobile scenarios, including millisecond-level transmission and seamless interaction for AI glasses, smooth communication between AI phones and Agents, and real-time cloud transmission for AI analysis and content generation by smart cameras (shoot-and-upload). Miao Shouye, Senior Vice President of China Unicom, pointed out: “Currently, artificial intelligence is accelerating its integration into production and daily life.
