GDC Majalta concludes 15-day AI internship

Jammu, Aug 2: GDC Majalta successfully concluded a 15-day Summer Internship on Artificial Intelligence and Computer Applications held from July 16 to August 1, 2026. The programme aimed to equip students with practical knowledge of emerging technologies and digital skills. Led by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Alpana Vohra, the internship featured expert sessions by Dr. Ravia Gupta Assistant Professor, University of Jammu, Certified FactShala and AI Trainer (led by DataLeads, supported by Google) and Divya Vasu (Entrepreneur, IT Expert, Guest Faculty IIMC Jammu). They introduced students to AI fundamentals, digital tools, automation and ethical use of technology. Prof. Krishana Kumar Pangotra coordinated the programme, ensuring smooth execution. Students engaged in hands-on exercises, group discussions and demonstrations, gaining confidence in applying AI and computer applications to real-world scenarios. Participants praised the internship as informative and inspiring, noting improved digital competencies and motivation to explore AI further. Faculty members including Dr. Chander Mohan Sharma, Prof. Anuradha Chaudhary, Prof. Kamaljeet Chaudhary, Prof. Naresh Kumar, Prof. Dalip Kumar and Prof. (Dr.) Sameer Koul also contributed to its success. The initiative reflects GDC Majalta’s commitment to fostering innovation, skill-oriented education and preparing students for the digital era. The college plans to organize more such programmes in the future.
