IMC 2026 Rolls Out Viksit Tech 47 to Spotlight Indian Tech Firms

India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 has introduced a new initiative called Viksit Tech 47. The program will identify and honor Indian technology companies, leaders, and innovators who are shaping the country's tech industry. Viksit Tech 47 supports the larger Viksit Bharat 2047 vision . It will be part of the 10th edition of IMC, set to run from October 7 to 10 at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. What Areas Viksit Tech 47 Will Cover The initiative spans several segments. These include consumer devices, wearables, audio, video and surveillance, connected mobility, smart home and IoT, components and manufacturing, artificial intelligence and deep tech, and software as a service (SaaS) platforms. As part of the program, IMC 2026 will release a flagship report studying more than 200 Indian technology companies. Techarc is the research partner for this study. The report will look at India's place in the global technology value chain, with input from founders and industry experts. The platform also includes the Dr. Zarabi Indigenization Award for Startups. This award will honor firms working on product design, engineering, components, and manufacturing. The focus is on startups building hardware, gadgets, devices, and appliances in areas where India has historically depended on imports. These include Viksit Tech Brand of the Year, Viksit Tech Leader of the Year, and Viksit Tech Enabler of the Year. IMC 2026 is expected to draw more than 1.5 lakh attendees. Over 300 exhibitors and partners from more than 100 countries are set to take part. The event will also showcase more than 1,500 technology use cases. The initiative now covers hardware, AI, manufacturing, IoT, and software as well. It aims to give Indian technology businesses a stronger platform for recognition, both at home and abroad.
