'It's Soon': AI Mastermind Demis Hassabis Now Expects AGI Within Three Years
Google DeepMind founder Demis Hassabis now expects artificial general intelligence within two to three years, narrowing his earlier forecast. He said AGI would mean human-level cognition across a broad range of abilities. Hassabis also proposed the Einstein Test for assessing such intelligence and said AGI could first transform scientific research, particularly physics.
