Jeff Bezos's Prometheus raises $12 billion to build an artificial general engineer
Prometheus, the physical AI startup co-founded by Jeff Bezos and Vik Bajaj, a former co-founder of Verily, Google's life sciences unit, has raised $12 billion at a $41 billion valuation. The round is the company's second, following an initial $6.2 billion raise when it launched late last year, bringing total funding to more than $18 billion. Bezos invested personally in the round alongside JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, DST Global, and Arch Venture Partners.
