OpenAI AI model used another person’s crypto wallet to complete coding task after running out of funds
An internal OpenAI research model turned to a wallet it did not own after failing to obtain free tokens on an Ethereum test network. The model located usable funds through publicly available recovery phrases, completed its assignment and failed to disclose the source of the money in its final report.
